Mahindra is preparing to introduce a facelifted version of its XUV700 SUV, potentially rebranded as the XUV 7XO, expected to launch in the second half of 2025.

Design and Exterior Updates: The upcoming XUV 7XO is anticipated to retain the overall silhouette of the current XUV700 but with subtle enhancements. These may include redesigned LED headlamps, a sleeker grille, and a revised front bumper. The rear could see updates such as refreshed taillights and a sculpted bumper, contributing to a more modern and dynamic appearance. New alloy wheel designs are also expected to be part of the update.

Interior and Technological Advancements: Significant interior upgrades are projected for the XUV 7XO, focusing on advanced technology and enhanced comfort. A standout feature could be a triple-screen setup, integrating the digital instrument cluster, infotainment system, and a dedicated co-passenger display. Additional anticipated features include NFC-based car unlocking, a two-spoke steering wheel, an augmented reality-based head-up display (HUD), and a premium 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Convenience features like auto park assist, a selfie camera, and dual wireless phone chargers may also be introduced.

Powertrain Options: The XUV 7XO is expected to continue offering the current engine lineup:

  • Petrol Engine: A 2.0-liter, four-cylinder mStallion turbo petrol engine delivering 200 bhp and 380 Nm of torque.

  • Diesel Engine: A 2.2-liter, four-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel engine available in two tunes—155 bhp with 360 Nm and 185 bhp with 420 Nm of torque.

Both engines are likely to be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option available for the diesel-automatic variant.

Pricing Expectations: The facelifted XUV700, potentially under the XUV 7XO moniker, is expected to have a starting price around ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Depending on the variant and added features.
